LGC has announced that it is coordinating an FSA-funded collaboratove study of a method for quantitation of horse DNA and has issued an invitation for participation in the study.

The method is based on a Defra/LGC Standard Operating Procedure for the relative quantitation of horse DNA using real-time PCR. The eventual aim of the Collaborative Trial is to propose the method for international standardisation. The Collaborative Trial will be open to all analytical laboratories which possess real-time PCR capability. The intention is to select up to five laboratories for a pre-trial, and up to 15 laboratories for the main Collaborative Trial.

More details, and a link to the invitation letter, can be found in the news post on LGC's website. For a direct link to the invitation letter, please click here. Note that the closing date for applications is 28th October 2015.
