This free 1-day in-person event is targeted at new and existing UK food and drink manufacturers, including industry professionals who work in food safety, environmental, public health, technical ,NPD and/or auditing job roles within their organisations. Topics include
- Regulatory overview and support for SME’s to prevent food crime
- Retailer perspective on food crime and recalls in the supply chain – what good looks like?
- Food crime case studies and examples (national and global)
- How to train and educate staff to manage threats and risks associated with food crime and recalls
- Legal framework and enforcement of food crime
There will be speakers from the Food Standards Agency's National Food Crime Unit, major food retailers and manufacturers, and the Food Authenticity Network. The event includes a student and early-careers poster competition.
