The UK's IFST have organised a free webinar "Unfit or Unsafe? Lessons Learned from Horsemeat 10 Years On", 26 September, 10.00 GMT. It is aimed at IFST Members and non-members in technical and quality management roles at all levels. The keynote speaker, Prof Richard Hyde, will discuss the purpose of general food law, how it came about, the meaning of key principles and how this applies to businesses. He will cover the enforcement perspective and draws on some case law examples to illustrate how the key principles are practically applied and what businesses can do via due diligence to defend themselves.
