Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with an MSc in Food Technology-Quality Assurance and a PhD in Prebiotics, Gut Microbiology and Immunology, with a solid technical background in various food-related scientific fields and extensive experience in Microbiological Safety Risk Assessment from the perspectives of the Competent Food Authority (Food Standards Agency), the largest retailer in the UK (Tesco) and one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods manufacturers in the world (Unilever). Currently, on the European Food Risk Assessment Fellowship Programme (EU-FORA), organised by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
My professional purpose is to safeguard consumers and businesses from microbiological hazards via transparently supporting credible decisions (Risk Management) through independent and well-balanced assessment of available evidence (Microbiological Safety Risk Assessment).
