SecureFood is a Horizon Europe project focused on strengthening food systems resilience, food security, and trust across complex and disrupted supply chains. A core area of interest is the integrity, traceability, and authenticity of food products under conditions of stress, crisis, and geopolitical instability. In this context, SecureFood includes a dedicated case study on the grain value chain in Ukraine, examining how war-related disruptions affect production, storage, transport, trade, and market confidence. Using real-world data, digital twins, early-warning systems, and governance tools, the project aims to identify vulnerabilities, support crisis preparedness, and improve transparency and trust in grain supply chains that are critical to European and global food security. SecureFood is particularly interested in collaborating with the Food Authenticity Network to exchange knowledge, align methodologies, and contribute evidence-based insights on safeguarding food authenticity in high-risk and crisis-affected contexts.
